Switching

In a manufacturing environment:
Set up a machine (such as a forming press or molding machine) or a series of linked machines (an assembly line or cell) in such a way that they switch from the production of one product or part to another. This involves changing parts, dies, molds, holders, etc. (also called set-up ). The changeover time is the time that elapses between the last item from the process before the changeover and the first good item from the process after the changeover.
In a restaurant:

restaurant that switches from lunch to dinner. In this process, the mise-en-place, menu boards change, different ingredients are prepared and the staff receives a new briefing in advance, for example. Optimizations can also be made in this process, making that changeover faster.
In a hotel:
Cleaning the hotel room between guests. Housekeeping cleans, cleans up, changes the bed, replenishes the minibar where necessary et cetera. Again, you can think about wastage (waiting time, movements made between rooms to be changed et cetera.
At a photographer:
Changing from portrait photography to product photography. The studio is changed with a different background, different equipment, lighting is adjusted, lenses may be changed and camera settings changed. What can be prepared in advance? Are all materials in a quickly accessible place? Can things be pre-set? For example, by having a second camera set up specifically for the other purpose.
