We have been providing Lean Belt training and certification at Waternet for many years. With many process optimizations in the areas of safety, lead time, quality and efficiency as a result.
Waternet is the only water company in the Netherlands that takes care of the entire water cycle. For Amsterdam and the surrounding area, Waternet supplies drinking water and in the Amstel Gooi and Vecht Water Board, Waternet works on strong dikes and clean water.
LMI has been providing the Lean Belt training courses and certifying hundreds of employees to Yellow, Green and Black Belt for the Waternet Academy for over 5 years. As a mandatory part of the certification, the participants have had to actually implement a process improvement. This has led to many optimizations in the areas of safety, lead time, quality and efficiency. These optimizations can be seen at sewage treatment plants, bridges and locks, the Water Supply Dunes near Heemstede, the headquarters on the Amstel River, drinking water installations, sewerage, safe dikes, energy conservation improvements and climate change, among others.
